‘Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2’ Release Date, News, & Update: 2nd Explosive Trailer Is Out; Baby Groot Is Just Too Cute!

Marvel recently released the second teaser trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2." This time, fans get to see more of Baby Groot and the Abilisk.

The first teaser trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" was released last October, only giving viewers a glimpse of the gang of wily space explorers from Marvel. Watch the first humor-filled trailer.

The second teaser trailer reveals more action and explosion, drama, and humor, but filled with classic rock. "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" trailer played to the tune of Sweet's 1974 single "Fox on the Run."

"Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" all-star cast still makes a comeback featuring Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Dave Bautista as Drax. Meanwhile, Sean Gunn plays the furry Rocket Raccoon on set while Bradley Cooper is the voice behind the character.

As we all know, Groot sacrificed himself to save the other Guardians in the earlier "Guardians of the Galaxy." Rocket Raccoon was devastated and planted pre-arranged cutting from Groot's body, slowly growing, according to Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In the "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" trailer, it showcases super cute Groot, having grown a bit. This time, it seems he might make another sacrifice as he carried the bomb deep within. However, fans broke Twitter with Gifs and tweets about the super cute baby Groot.

The Abilisk is also seen in the "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" trailer. ComicBook noted that the giant, squid-like space monster is called the Abilisk, which was previously seen in concept art. This is in fact first live-action look at the monster.

The "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" trailer did not mention or gave way as to the plot of the film. Director James Gunn told Hollywood Reporter during an earlier interview that the Marvel team is intentionally keeping its plot under wraps ahead of its release.

"Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" debuts in theaters beginning May 5, 2017.
