The futuristic racing game from Sony "Wipeout" is back with 3 remastered games on the PlayStation 4. Apparently, "Wipeout: Omega Collection" was announced during the PlayStation Experience 2016.
"Wipeout: Omega Collection" comes with 3 remastered games: "Wipeout HD," "Wipeout HD Fury," and "Wipeout 2048." Packed with a massive graphical update, all three remastered games in the "Wipeout: Omega Collection" comes in 4K support, HD range graphics, and a 60 fps targeted performance, per Engadget.
Not only will the graphics be improved, but the soundtrack as well. This will get gamers thumping to the beat of racing hover ships.
The "Wipeout: Omega Collection" has nine modes to choose from, 26 unique tracks, and 46 ship models, per VG247. These modes include the Time Trial, Speed Lap and Single Race, Tournament, and Zone modes from "Wipeout HD"; the Detonator, Eliminator, and Zone Battle modes from "Wipeout HD Fury"; and Career Mode from "Wipeout 2048." Online and local multiplayer will both be supported
According to Polygon, the most recent "Wipeout" game release was Wipeout 2048, in 2012, for PlayStation Vita. While "Wipeout HD" premiered in 2008 for PlayStation 3 and "Wipeout HD Fury" is as 2009 expansion.
"Wipeout Omega: Collection" won't be out until summer of 2017. So fans will have to wait to find out whether "Wipeout Omega: Collection" is a sequel to the earlier game version or an anthology series, as reports have it.
