The ever famous Queen song "Bohemian Rhapsody" will be the running title of Freddie Mercury's upcoming biopic. The film will be about the singer's life and the band nonetheless making sure it preserves the legacy of Queen [band].
According to Huffington Post, there is a live adaptation of the lyrics of the song that already exists. The song went through many dramatic readings until they finally came up with a storyline. Hence it being true to the words of the song, the adaptation was about a man who after killing someone tells his mom about it and struggles on deciding if he is going to end his life but then chooses to face the consequences instead. The clip definitely came out to be in the crime-drama genre and sure gets the attention of viewers especially those who know the lyrics because they would follow the story with the song playing in their minds.
Following last month's reports that turned to confirmations, actor Rami Malek and director Bryan Singer will be part of the Queen film as reported by RollingStone. Director Bryan Singer posted on Instagram a photo of the band, in announcement of his acceptance of the project.
Initially, Sacha Baron Cohen was to play the role of Freddie Mercury in the biopic but he opted out after some disagreements with the band because Cohen wanted to include lewd details of Mercury's life. This film has been in development for six years with Anthony McCarten, who was called to join on November 2015 to write the screenplay that will serve as a guide for the movie.
