"Battleship 1" creators EA and DICE are about to release on Dec. 20 a free DLC. The DLC contains a new map aptly called "Giant's Shadow" map and a new weapon. Details regarding the release have been unveiled.
According to VG247, "Battleship 1's" Giant's Shadow map will arrive on Dec 13 for players who have a Premium Pass. However, it should be noted that this new map is separate from the Season Pass.
Meanwhile, for non-Premium Pass holders, they will have to wait until Dec. 20 to be able to download "Battleship 1" Giant's Shadow map for free. Giant's Shadow map will be the very first DLC released for "Battleship 1" since its outing last October and the only DLC announced.
EA have earlier described the "Battleship 1" Giant's Shadow map, which is to be set during the Battle of the Selle, France, per GameSpot. In the released teaser trailer, the battle mainly focuses in the shadow of a giant zeppelin that crashed. A powerful armed train adds spice and excitement to the game, while players get to have access to horses and planes.
Also part of the new "Battlefield 1" DLC is a new weapon: a grenade-shooting crossbow. This new weapon is intended for the Support classes. The weapon's concept was reportedly leaked by one of the game's artists. To use the seemingly unique concept of a grenade-shooting crossbow, players will have to load the crossbow with either fragmentation or high-explosive grenades based on your personal explosion preferences, according to GamesRadar.
GameRant reported that "Battleship 1" free DLC release will be a welcome change for players who have been engulfed by the war-torn game since October. In other news, the game's first premium expansion will be available in March 2017.
"Battlefield 1" can be played on Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
