The ever elusive Nintendo Mini NES Classic Edition may just hit stores soon. Best Buy is reported to restock the classic console on Dec. 20. As history served right, surely stocks will run out fast as Christmas is just around the corner.
Customers are dying to get their hands on the Nintendo Mini NES Classic Edition. Perhaps, buyers will rejoice as Destructoid reported that a number of customers received an email that Best Buy will indeed restock the much-awaited Nintendo Mini NES Classic Edition.
When Nintendo Everything reached out to Best Buy for confirmation, the company did confirm that they are restocking. However, the email received by customers indicated restocking would happen "tomorrow" on Dec. 20. The weird thing was the email was sent out Dec. 7. This was clarified by Best Buy that there was an error because the email was sent a little too early.
Best Buy sent out another email verifying that Nintendo Mini NES Classic Edition will only be on the shelves of Best Buy's physical stores, per CNET. Also, customers might want to camp out as early as they can because the console will have limited quantities and it will be sold on a first come first served basis.
Since the Nintendo Mini NES Classic Edition debuted last Nov. 11, stocks quickly run out in both brick-and-mortar and online stores. Some even went to great feats hoarding the console and selling them on eBay for more than five times the original price.
According to Forbes, Nintendo promised that they will restock the Mini NES Classic Edition throughout the holiday season. But people are consuming the items so fast they the company cannot actually cope with the demand. We have yet to have news whether other stores will follow suit and restock the widely popular Nintendo Mini NES Classic Edition.
