Romance was hinted in the last episode of "Supergirl." Mon-El (Chris Wood) expressed that he likes Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and they shared a sweet kiss during the midseason finale, which aired last Nov. 28.
But when "Supergirl" returns with new episodes beginning Monday, Jan. 16, Jeremy Jordan's Winn Schott will think Mon-El is bad news. Viewers might recall that in the first season, Winn had a thing for Kara, but nothing came out of the relationship except friendship.
Mon-El's admiration for Kara will be evident and this will trigger Winn. "I think it brings up old feelings in Winn that he's sort of packed down," the actor said, according to TV Line. The actor further explained that his character didn't handle his feeling for Kara properly and this new romance between his friends will become a problem.
But there could be some things to distract Winn from his feelings as he will have his hands full on "Supergirl." In the first episode back, Winn will continue to provide support for the vigilante Guardian (Mehcad Brooks). "Winn doesn't have a lot of time to be bummed out," Jeremy Jordan said, according to Entertainment Weekly.
As to where the relationship between Kara and Mon-El goes is still unclear. She has also turned down getting romantic with Jimmy Olsen at the beginning of the season because being Supergirl makes her dating life complicated. But Mon-El is an alien just like her. Is she going to be ready for love this time around?
Meanwhile, the Daxamite Mon-El will have a new and more regular job on "Supergirl." Kara has been helping him out to getting used to life on Earth and even had him work at Cat Co. Media with disastrous results. Bleeding Cool reports that Mon-El will now be working as a bartender at the alien hangout.
Catch the return of "Supergirl" Season 2 on The CW in January. The show is currently on a brief break for the holidays.
