Charlie Hunnam's Jax Teller on "Sons of Anarchy" might be dead, but the actor isn't completely opposed to becoming part of the show's spinoff series "Mayans MC." In fact, he already has some ideas on how to make this happen, but he admits he's not actually privy to any of the spinoff plans.
The actor told TMZ that "Mayans MC" could bring back Jax Teller via a dream sequence or a flashback scene. "Listen, if they call me, if they want me to do a little dream sequence," Charlie Hunnam told the news outlet in a video interview. "I'll do anything for Jax, I love that guy, but I think I'm dead," he added.
Charlie Hunnam also revealed that he has not actually watched the final season of "Sons of Anarchy." He prefers to watch at a time when he has established some distance with the character he played for seven seasons. Watch the whole interview in the video below.
"Sons of Anarchy" saw the rise and fall of Jax Teller as the leader of a motorcycle gang in California and bowed out of TV in 2014. The spinoff "Mayan MC" will follow the rival Latino gang, who has had dealings with Jax Teller in the past.
It's still not known who will headline "Mayans MC" and play the role of EZ Reyes, the story's new lead character. According to Daily Mail, production to "Mayans MC" will begin by March 2017, thus casting announcements have not yet come.
The "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff has long been rumored but it was only in this December that cable network FX confirmed it is happening, per The Hollywood Reporter. Both shows are from Kurt Sutter, who promises that the spinoff will be a different show than its predecessor. He developed the idea right after "Sons of Anarchy" ended and already had a plan to feature a Latino gang.
