Apart from mysteries behind Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander), there's one best-kept secret that "Blindspot" hasn't revealed on the show. Viewers still do not know fan favorite Patterson's (Ashley Johnson) first name, but how soon will the show divulge it?
"Blindspot" executive producer Martin Gero told Entertainment Weekly that, unfortunately, it will still be awhile before fans get to find out Patterson's full name. But he hints for viewers to be on the lookout when the show airs the 14th episode of Season 2 in the next few weeks.
"There might be a little something there," Gero said. "There's at least a wink to the people that want it," he teased.
Every primary character's full name has been laid out since "Blindspot" started on NBC. Aside from Jane Doe, who was also previously known as Taylor Shaw, there's Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton), Tasha Zapata (Audrey Esparza), Edgar Reed (Roger Brown) and Nas Kamal (Archie Panjabi).
Gero didn't say any reason, however, as to why it's important for the story to keep Team Weller's best codebreaker's name a secret. It's also one of the reasons why Patterson remains an enigma to "Blindspot" fans because there's still a lot more to learn about her.
Meanwhile, Team Weller could soon have a new member when "Blindspot" returns after its holiday break. An upcoming episode hints that a recurring character, Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer), would be back.
Rich Dotcom was introduced in the first season of "Blindspot" as a criminal that the team booked for questioning. Just a few weeks back, he also graced an episode where he sought Weller's help because he was the target of an assassin.
This time, he returns to work with the group. According to TV Guide, Rich Dotcom has a friend who could lead the team to the ever elusive Sandstorm whom they have been tracking down for a while now.
