‘La La Land’ Actor, Ryan Gosling To Portray Life Of First Man On The Moon, Neil Armstrong In A Biopic

Surely, actor Ryan Gosling has a lot on his plate. Fresh from the success of the musical drama, "La La Land," the 36-year old celebrity is also set to star in the upcoming action film, "Blade Runner 2049. That is not all since Gosling will also play the main character role in a biopic of late astronaut, Neil Armstrong entitled, "First Man."

As posted in Variety, Ryan Gosling is already committed to star in this biopic which will be based on a published autobiography entitled, "First Man: A Life Of Neil A. Armstrong" and written by James Hansen. Interestingly, the director for this biopic will be Damien Chazelle who is also Gosling's director in "La La Land." This biopic promises to be a great film as the screenwriter is Josh Singer who received an Oscar award for the film, "Spotlight."

Meanwhile, a post from Rolling Stone provides plot details of the biopic with reports that it will focus on Neil Armstrong's endeavors during the period of 1961-1969. Before being the most prominent member of the Apollo 11 crew, Neil Armstrong first served as a navy pilot during the Second World War era.

When the war is over, Armstrong then became a member of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics. The storytelling will be explored on a factual first-person style and will attempt to show a closer look in one of the most memorable space missions of all time, the Apollo 11.

Apparently, although the film will mostly revolve around Neil Armstrong, the biopic will also focus on the struggles and challenges that the nation has to face in order to successfully land a man on the moon. The producers for "First Man" will be Isaac Klausner and James Hansen. This website will feature updates about this biopic starring Ryan Gosling so keep visiting.
