Chris Pratt has finally worked with his wife Anna Faris on the set again. The actor recently did his scenes as a guest on "Mom," his wife's comedy show on CBS, where he will be playing the love interest.
He revealed that he had a blast working with his wife after so many years. Pratt and Faris actually met while filming the 2007 movie "Take Me Home Tonight" and then got married in 2009. This time on "Mom," there was no awkwardness between them even if they had to do a kissing scene.
"This was different," Pratt told Vanity Fair. "After they yelled 'Cut,' we laughed and just kept on kissing."
The "Jurassic World" star also said that he would be singing a Kenny Rogers song on his wife's show. He learned the love song "Lady" on the guitar to woo Christy, Faris' character.
Pratt's guest stint was announced in October by CBS and a photo from the set was released just before the holidays on Entertainment Weekly. The site revealed that the real-life couple's episode will air on Thursday, Jan. 19. The show returns after the holiday hiatus on Jan. 5.
It's unclear, however, if this guest stint on "Mom" is only a one-time thing, given Pratt's demanding schedule doing movies. The actor's character, Nick, is Marjorie's (Mimi Kennedy) nephew. He's not supposed to be dating the recovering alcoholic Christy, per Marjorie's wishes.
"Mom" is already in its fourth season and Faris has been wanting her husband to be a guest since the show started in 2013. But Pratt's movie career was picking up then, as he did blockbuster movies one after the other, and his schedule was packed.
"Mom" also stars Alison Janney as Bonnie, who also has substance abuse issues. The series has received praises for its way of balancing comedy and realistic situations faced by alcoholics and drug addicts. Check out the teaser to the upcoming episode below.
