"Blindspot" Season 2 is going to unravel more about Jane's past and information about her secret group will come to light. It will be the focus of the early episodes as the cast and crew are already back on the set to begin working for its upcoming season.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the mystery group will be revealed in the first two episodes back. Specifically, it will shed light on why Jane joined the group, which has been responsible for putting the tattoos all over her body.
'Blindspot' Season 2: Three-Month Time Jump
The new season of "Blindspot" will also open with a three-month time jump following the first season finale. Some flashbacks to young Jane will also be presented that will give hints on what the character has really been preparing for with her secret group. Executive producer Martin Gero has long promised Jane's real identity will not become the biggest mystery in the upcoming season of "Blindspot" since that has already been done last season, per TV Line. Instead, Season 2 will be about finding out what her former secret group wants to achieve, as well as finding out who the group leader is. For Jane, it is about stopping her old group's plan to ruin the world.
'Blindspot' Season 2: Back On The Set
Filming for "Blindspot" Season 2 already started a week ago, with Martin Gero posting on his Instagram that they have already done blocking on the set with Ashley Johnson. Lead star Jaimie Alexander also shared a photo of herself back at the makeup room as she prepares for her scene. The actress revealed in 2015 that doing her makeup and tattoos for "Blindspot" actually takes a laborious six hours with three makeup artists working on her, per Glamour.
"Blindspot" Season 2 has a Sept. 14 return date on NBC this fall. The show was last season's most popular new series in terms of ratings.
