NBA Trade Rumors, Boston Celtics Latest Updates: Celtics Pushing For Big Man Nerlens Noel, Ray Allen To Return?

The latest on NBA rumors have picked up from where 76ers' Nerlens Noel left off, after he left meaningful messages on his social media account a few days ago. Sources believed that Noel had implied wanting to get traded from his current team in favor of the Boston Celtics.

A Sportsrageous post also stated that Nerlens Noel is in the running to trade for Celtics' own James Young and Marcus Smart, especially after Noel expressed his admiration for the city of Boston. He also grew up close to the Celtics' hometown, in Massachusetts.

With the Boston Celtics gearing for its first game with the Nets on October 26, it had been a known fact for the former acquiring 5 new players for its roster back in July this year. Remember Tyler Zeller, Gerald Green, and the trio of Demetrius Jackson, Ben Bentil and Jaylen Brown (2016 NBA draft picks)? At 6 ft 11 in, Nerlens Noel definitely is a great fit.

The common denominator among them seemed to be that of a huge physical advantage (in terms of height), so adding Nerlens Noel is a given. The Celtics have reportedly cited Al Horford and Nerlens Noel as a powerfully good combination on the courts. Aside from Young and Smart, the Celtics also have key players who are good candidates for a trade-off in the likes of Abdel Nader, Avery Bradley and Terry Rozier, to name a few.

Meanwhile, Ray Allen is also in talks to a potential comeback to the NBA by next season, says the Celtics Hub. And guess which top team he wants to be in? Allen is eyeing to be part of the new Celtics roster, just like Nerlens Noel.

Allen also stated on availability as a factor in his decision, and noted on not just being on the sidelines. He pointed out on waiting on the right time for a highly anticipated comeback. "It doesn't necessarily have to be championship-or-bust for me to go back to the NBA. I want to be in a situation where I thought I could help, play a little bit and help where they have good young talent", added Allen. Whatever the outcome would be, Nerlens Noel and Ray Allen are best bets for any of the NBA teams.
