'Stranger Things' Season 2 News & Update: Winona Ryder, Millie Brown & Cast Talk Next Season Plans

It's not just fans waiting on Netflix to finally confirm the return of "Stranger Things" for Season 2. Even the stars of the show are eager to hear about the renewal. All indications suggest that it's definitely going to happen, but the question now is - when will "Stranger Things" Season 2 premiere?

As viewers wait for Netflix's official word, the stars of the series have been talking to different outlets about the next season. The show's creator, Matt and Ross Duffer, expressed that they intend "Stranger Things" Season 2 to become a sequel and follow a year after the events of last season. Meaning, it will retain its original cast. Here's what the actors are hoping will be answered when the show is back.

Millie Bobby Brown, who plays the psychokinetic character Eleven, sat down with IGN and said that she wants a lot of flashbacks for "Stranger Things" Season 2. She wants to find answers about Hopper's daughter. She also wants to know the origins of her character.

David Harbour, who plays the town police Chief Hopper, believes his character will cross the "dark side a bit" next season, via his Reddit AMA. "I'd like to see him really do some dangerous things and then emerge as the Han Solo that we all know him to be later on." He believes that the story about his daughter will be explored in "Stranger Things" Season 2.

Natalia Dyer, who plays the teenage daughter Nancy, is hopeful about getting answers as well. She told Decider she's curious about the relationships between the cast, particularly Nancy's with the rest of them.

Joe Kerry, who plays Nancy's boyfriend Steve, thought his character would be dead in the first season of "Stranger Things." He told Chicago Tribune he's crossing his fingers for the announcement from Netflix. He also hopes his character would be able to get to the Upside Down, fight the monsters and survive it.

Charlie Heaton, who plays Jonathan, is bummed that he didn't get the girl. He told Paper Mag that he wonders if "Stranger Things" Season 2 will answer why Nancy is back with Steve, but he also said he understands that Jonathan's focus in the first season was on his missing brother.

Ross Partridge, who plays Lonnie -- Will and Jonathan's father, would like his character to get a do over in "Stranger Things" Season 2. He said, via his Reddit AMA, that Lonnie was genuinely concerned for Will's disappearance, but had been looking for someone to blame this on.

Finally, Winona Ryder told Variety she has no idea what's going to happen in "Stranger Things" Season 2. However, she would like Netflix to confirm it as soon as possible so that they can soon get back to work. The series' first season is still being streamed on the site.
