Fans are already excited for the upcoming season premiere of "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23. Unfortunately, VH1 has yet to announce the official air date and other information about the new season of the long-running modeling reality competition.
It is already a given fact that "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23 will have a "fierce-a-fied rebirth" on a new network, VH1, after The CW network canceled the show. As Parent Herald previously reported, the reboot of the modeling competition will be shot on a new location - in New York City instead of Los Angeles.
In addition, the 14-episode "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23 will also feature a new concept, in which it will introduce a weekly pop culture challenge. The upcoming season will also present new host Rita Ora, who will be a substitute of former host, creator and producer of the show, Tyra Banks.
Speaking of Banks, the original "America's Next Top Model" host reportedly ditched the hosting stint for the 23rd cycle of the show to become a Stanford University professor. According to Vogue Australia, the 42-year-old model, TV presenter and entrepreneur will be a guest professor in a class about personal branding.
The Wall Street Journal added that "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23 executive producer will reportedly handle the subject, "Project You: Building and Extending Your Personal Brand." Moreover, Banks will start her new teaching job in May 2017.
Meanwhile, "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23 has already started filming in Manhattan, New York City, Daily Mail revealed. As a matter of fact, Ora and the new panel of judges have reportedly filmed the show's first elimination.
As for "America's Next Top Model" cycle 23 judges, the panel includes Paper magazine's chief creative officer Drew Elliot, plus-size model Ashley Graham and celebrity stylist Law Roach, Entertainment Weekly noted. Speaking of Graham, the newest "ANTM" judge reportedly got an edgy makeover recently, where she was seen rocking a new bob (courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons) and a few more ear piercings, Self magazine reported.
"America's Next Top Model" cycle 23 is scheduled to premiere this fall season with 25-year-old Brit singer-actress Rita Ora as host and A$AP Rocky as the co-host. Tyra Banks and Ken Mok, on the other hand, will be the show's executive producers.
