The Duggar family is known for following a certain set of rules in almost everything. And that includes courtship. With Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo's courtship (and later engagement) is currently being featured on "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," fans learn more about the courtship rules, which are not set in stone for Jinger Duggar.
In the latest episode of "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," Jeremy Vuolo and Jinger Duggar admitted about the physical temptations, but Jeremy assured Jim Bob that he has "a desire to save the physical for marriage" and that they would physically enjoy each other in later time, but not right now. As their younger brother Joseph Duggar broken down, the courtship guidelines include only side hugs and no front hugs, no holding hands, and definitely no kissing, per US Weekly,
Jessa added that it is understandable to have physical pull to be close to someone you really like. But to resist the temptation, you have "let people help you." This is one of the reasons that during the courtship period, the couple's dates are chaperoned. Jessa and Ben offered to chaperone Jinger and Jeremy, who reiterated that they were on the "fast track."
Jinger Duggar's bit of a rebel side when it comes to the courtship rules earlier sparked a rumor that she might already be pregnant with Jeremy's baby. The speculations arose from the very brief courtship period, and the immediate announcement of their engagement a little over two weeks after the courtship was revealed. The two are obviously head over heels in love with each other as shown in "Jill and Jessa: Counting On."
"We are overjoyed to be engaged!" the couple wrote on the Duggar family website. "It was a beautiful moment and we look forward to a lifetime together. We are so grateful for how the Lord has brought us together. It has been a beautiful and incredible journey so far and we are excited about serving Christ together in the days ahead."
