"Supernatural" Season 12 will bring back a recurring character to help Dean and Sam fight Adolf Hitler. That will be Aaron Bass, who inherited a Golem from his grandfather and Judah Initiative member, Isaac Bass.
Adam Rose's portrayal of Aaron debuted on the "Supernatural" Season 8 episode titled "Everybody Loves Hitler," TVLine reported. The Judah Initiative, which Aaron is now a member of and is a secret organization composed of rabbis, is at odds with the Thule Society, a group of secret Nazi occultists that carried out unholy magical experiments during World War 2.
Aaron will reappear on the fifth episode of "Supernatural" Season 12. Aaron's comeback will also see the Thule Society's return to "enact their master plan and bring back Hitler," showrunner Andrew Dabb told TVLine. Dabb added that Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) "are going to fight Hitler" in an episode that is bound to open up "some interesting doors" for "more crazy stuff."
Fans of Castiel (Misha Collins) will get a kick out of "Supernatural" Season 12. The upcoming episodes will shine a spotlight on the angel toward the middle of the season. According to Dabb's Entertainment Weekly interview, Castiel will have "stand-alone episodes in a way that he hasn't been used in a long time."
The twelfth episode of "Supernatural" Season 12 will focus "heavily" on Castiel and his ongoing journey. Some aspects of his past that viewers don't know yet will be unearthed.
Viewers already know plenty about Jimmy Novak's (Castiel's vessel) backstory. So it's plausible that the Castiel backstory Dabb was referring to would be about his past as an angel.
Collins recently told Zap2it at this year's San Diego Comic-Con that he wants to revisit Castiel's "badass warrior" persona from "Supernatural" Season 4. Given that being possessed by Lucifer is no laughing matter, it is expected that Castiel is more than ready to unleash his full power through vengeance.
Speaking of Lucifer, music icon Rick Springfield described his portrayal of the character on "Supernatural" as "really fun" and "well-written," Billboard reported. Springfield recounted how he had to sit in the makeup chair for two hours to achieve "insane" effects for just one scene, adding that the preparation he went through for his Lucifer portrayal was "incredible."
The new season will also feature Dean and Sam dealing with the British Men of Letters and the aftermath of their mother's (Samantha Smith) resurrection, Parent Herald previously reported. "Supernatural" Season 12 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 9/8c on The CW.
