Aaron D. Spears is joining the cast of "Days of Our Lives" this September. It is not yet clear whether his character would develop, but could it be a sign that he is heading out of "The Bold and the Beautiful"? Meanwhile, after speculations made rounds last month, Martha Madison's return to DAYS has been confirmed.
Aaron D. Spears teased on Twitter his new gig in another daytime soap, posting a photo of himself and the banner of "Days of Our Lives." According to Soaps.com, Spears will play as Lt. Raines and fans can expect him to appear on Friday, Sept. 9, in scenes with Kristian Alfonso who plays Hope, Casey Moss who plays JJ, and Brandon Beemer who plays Shawn.
"I thought it would be interesting to give it a shot and be a part of that legacy," he told Soap Digest. He also shared that his character is someone who goes by the book, a no-nonsense, and someone who does his job well. He added, "I don't know if the character is going to develop or not but the outline sounded great."
Spears assured fans that he is not leaving B&B though. He said on Twitter, "I appreciate all the love, beautiful people! I'll be doing both shows. DAYS as Lt. Raines and B&B - Justin lives!" B&B spoilers even tease that he will be seen frequently in the near future as Bill goes through a messy divorce.
Meanwhile, Martha Madison has confirmed that she is indeed returning to "Days of Our Lives" permanently as Belle Brady, Soaps.com reported. But before that, she will be off the canvas for some time. She was supposedly leaving the show as part of the changes in the soap's writing regime, but rumors about the change emerged in August when Kristian Alfonso posted a video on Instagram with Martha and Brandon Beemer on the set of Days.
