With a lot of NBA trade rumors lurking around, the name of Iman Shumpert has been now also involved. Iman Shumpert is now rumored that he would be traded in exchange for a quality player that can help the Cleveland Cavaliers defend their NBA title.
Iman Shumpert was previously arrested due to DUI issues, as the ESPN reported. Shumpert was arrested during the incident which took place last August 10. Police officers claimed that Shumpert was driving an Audi and is not following his lane. In addition, police officer charged Shumpert with possession of marijuana, citing they found a backpack from his trunk with unsafe drugs. According to AJC.com, the Cleveland Cavaliers are currently monitoring Shumpert's case, while waiting for the court date.
With this incident, as per Christian Post, the Cavaliers would likely trade Iman Shumpert as his DUI case would be a distracting case for the organization. Iman Shumpert could now be a key item since the Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to for an inside defender in the likes of Nerlens Noel.
According to Sportsrageous, Iman Shumpert could be a great fit for the Philadelphia as they are also in search of a starting shooting guard. A straight Nerlens Noel - Iman Shumpert would be a good NBA trade scenario.
Shumpert is averaging 11.1 points per night, an impressive 8.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per contest. Iman Shumpert is proven to be a good wing defender, closing out the perimeter and can also protect the driving lane. Iman Shumpert would be a huge upgrade for the Sixers if acquired, with his offensive skills, he can create space or even roll straight to the rim.
As for the Cleveland Cavaliers, they would definitely gain a lot of benefit with Nerlens Noel if the said NBA trade rumor materialized. They could have an athletic offensive firepower with Nerlens Noel, but the brighter side is that Noel would be the player that can provide the interior defense that the Cavaliers need.
