"The Last Of Us" fans had an exciting treat when "TLOU" 2 news seemed to have surfaced, including details on Ellie (Ashley Johnson) and Joel (Troy Baker) surviving a five-year time jump. However, Neil Druckmann revealed the conditions that "TLOU" fans should watch out for in expecting "The Last Of Us 2."
Gamereactor verified the details on the supposed leak for "The Last Of Us 2." In the alleged "first look" for "The Last Of Us 2," Ellie and Joel would not only have gone through a time jump.
"The Last Of Us 2" protagonists were also supposed to have been given a bigger playground, which "TLOU" 2 players would be able to explore and from which new creative challenges will be made available. "The Last Of Us 2" allegedly would have been released in 2018 as a title for PlayStation 4 Pro.
According to Gamereactor, however, these "The Last Of Us 2" details are bogus. Citing their sources, the media outlet advised that "TLOU" creator Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog game director Bruce Straley revealed no such details on "The Last Of Us 2."
What Neil Druckmann did say about "The Last Of Us 2" according to Movie Pilot is that work on "TLOU" sequel will be dependent on two conditions. Naughty and Neil Druckmann will first have to get the "Uncharted 4" single player DLC delivered - fan projection tag this to be by the winter of 2016.
The second condition for "The Last Of Us 2" work to continue is if Naughty Dog and Neil Druckmann have enough resources to resume work on "TLOU" 2. In an earlier interview with Game Rant, Troy Baker highlighted just how expensive and difficult building "The Last Of Us" had been.
Troy Baker did, however, say that as long as Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog find a strong story to work with, they will not hesitate to build "The Last Of Us 2" from the ground up, if necessary. If this is a hint that "The Last Of Us 2" will bring in a new story with all-new characters is unknown, but more than a few people - including Ellie actress Ashley Johnson - think that "TLOU" does not need a sequel.
