As the full release of "ARK: Survival Evolved" looms, Studio Wildcard is keeping things in the "ARK" realm interesting and exciting as it recently launched the Xbox One v741.0 update on Sept. 15. The latest "ARK" patches come as part of the game developer's plan to fully optimize and to offer more content for the game's performance improvements.
Speaking of the game's performance improvements, the latest "ARK: Survival Evolved" Xbox One v741.0 patch has reportedly boosted the overall rendering performance of the game. Thanks to the console's 32MB ESRAM, "ARK" overall rendering performance was improved by 15 percent, WCCF Tech noted.
In addition, "ARK: Survival Evolved" Xbox One v741.0 update, which weighed in at 5.7GB, also boosted the game's structure rendering performance by 30 to 40 percent. However, the boost was not at all connected to the console's fast ESRAM.
Aside from the structure and overall rendering performance, "ARK: Survival Evolved" Xbox One v741.0 update also brought some improvements specific only to the game's "Scorched Earth" expansion. Unfortunately, Studio Wildcard didn't specify the percentage of improvement, as per SegmentNext.
Moreover, "ARK: Survival Evolved" Xbox One v741.0 patch also upgraded the in-game resolution to 720p and for the UI to 1080p. What's more interesting were the new item, Night Vision Goggles, as well as the new creatures "Archaeopteryx" and "Tapejara."
Meanwhile, MMORPG claimed the "Scorched Earth" expansion of "ARK: Survival Evolved" is an abuse of the game's Early Access mode. The online news site even outlined some reasons why launching a paid expansion is a bad idea in the "ARK" realm, citing the fact that the game is not yet finished.
In other "ARK: Survival Evolved"-related report, Fenix Fire's sci-fi survival game titled, "Osiris: New Sawn," will reportedly get an Early Access launch in two weeks. According to Polygon, the game is comparable to the highly successful Studio Wildcard game, "ARK: Survival Evolved." As for full version, "Osiris" will include "Engineer," "Scientist" and "Marine" categories to support different playstyles.
