"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" players on the Xbox One console and PC platforms may now rejoice as the fourth and final downloadable content map pack for the game, "Salvation," will finally arrive later this week with the game's patch 1.17 released ahead of the DLC.
"Salvation," the final major DLC addition to Treyarch's "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" military speculative fiction first person shooter, arrived early last month to the PlayStation 4 as part of the "Call of Duty" franchise' new partnership with the console that gives the platform first dibs on updates to the game. Now Charlie Intel reported, as shared by Attack of the Fanboy, that "Salvation" will finally hit the Xbox One and PC platforms this week.
Ahead of the "Salvation" DLC release, a patch has been released for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" that institutes more polishing and further fixes for the game. Express reported that "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" has been updated to the new 1.17 version, which has changes and improvements aimed at the game's multiplayer.
Update 1.17 improves the stability of invites and game modes in multiplayer for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," meaning that players will have an easier time finding a fixed group when the "Salvation" DLC hits this week. Other general multiplayer fixes are for the Scorestreak bug that reset progress on death, more stable connectivity, streamlined CPU performance, and a number of behind-the-scenes errors.
Back to the "Salvation" DLC, the map pack will a total of five new multiplayer maps to "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." Coming for the general multiplayer in the "Salvation" DLC Citadel, Micro, Outlaw, and Rupture; while the series' Zombies Origins Saga will be receiving its finale with the Revelations map.
The "Salvation" DLC map pack for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will have the Origins Saga characters facing the true source of the zombie plague. Edward Richtofen, Tank Dempsey, Takeo Masaki, and Nikolai will finally encounter the ancient evil responsible for bringing about the darkness looming on the horizon.
"Salvation" will be the fourth and final DLC map pack for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," as well as for "Call of Duty" fans overall until the release of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" next month. "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 - Salvation" will release on Thursday, Oct. 6.
