'Jane The Virgin' Season 3 Spoilers & News: Rogelio's New Girl & Xo's New Guy Point To Ex-Couple Permanently Moving On?

Jane's parents on "Jane the Virgin," Rogelio (Jaime Camil) and Xiomara (Andrea Navedo), are moving on from each other. Reports of new romantic partners for both characters indicate that their separation could soon be permanent.

When last season of "Jane the Virgin" closed, Xo found out that she got accidentally pregnant, which might be the result of her brief romance with a man she barely knew. The dilemma further complicates her relationship with Jane's dad, Rogelio, considering that an issue with having another baby was the cause of their temporary separation and they have been attempting to work things out.

There have been rumors suggesting Xo might get an abortion in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3, but the matter remains unconfirmed. What's sure, however, is that Xo will have a new love interest this season and Rogelio will also have a new girl. Could this mean there's no more chance for Rogelio and Xiomara to reconcile at all?

Deadline reports that Xo's ex-flame, played by Ricardo Chavira, will come back in her life. The actor has been asked to recur for multi-episodes in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3, as the married man Xo was involved with in the past.

Meanwhile, Justina Machado has also been cast in a recurring role as Rogelio's new girlfriend in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. Another Deadline report confirms the character will play Darcy Factor, whom Rogelio first meets when he tries a dating service she manages and she ends up giving him a different proposal.

With the Rogelio and Xo's relationship getting more complicated with the coming of these two new flames, any chance of a reconciliation or marriage between the two is looking a lot bleaker. Navedo has hinted in previous interviews that her character will undergo a great deal of growing up in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3, after failing with her relationships since becoming a young mother to Jane.

"I think that Xiomara is going to start to make more strides in the future in terms of maturity and in terms of just growing as a person, as a woman, and accepting herself as a woman and not thinking about her value on sexuality or looks," the actress said, per Cosmopolitan. Catch the new season premiere of "Jane the Virgin" on The CW next Monday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. to know what happens to this relationship and other exciting developments in Season 3.
