Almost two weeks after Studio Wildcard announced the launch of "ARK: Survival Evolved" Xbox One v742.0 update, the game developer is planning to launch two more patches this month of October. Based on its announcement posted through the ARK Community Forums, Studio Wildcard will be launching the game's PC v248.0 and v249.0 patches on Oct. 18 and Oct. 27 respectively.
"ARK: Survival Evolved" is indeed one of the most talked-about games in the gaming industry this year. Despite being on an Early Access mode, the game has attracted a stable number of players and developers.
The initial success of "ARK: Survival Evolved," however, didn't come as easy as a walk in the park. As Parent Herald previously reported, Studio Wildcard recently faced a barrage of criticisms when it released its first-ever paid expansion, the "Scorched Earth" DLC.
In spite of the negative reviews and comments, "ARK: Survival Evolved" remained steadfast and instead of dwelling on the negativities and skepticisms, Studio Wildcard focused its attention to further improved the game before its full release in December. With that said, the game developer released the Xbox One v724.0 patch, which weighed in at 8.4 GB and brought the much-awaited The Center map content, on Sept. 28.
Aside from the Xbox One patch version, Studio Wildcard is currently gearing up for the launch of two upcoming updates on "ARK: Survival Evolved" PC platform. According to the announcement on ARK Community Forums, PC v248.0 patch will be released on Oct. 18 after some delays.
The "ARK: Survival Evolved will reportedly bring some new content and exciting features such as the Procedurally Generated ARK system. This new addition will offer gamers limitless opportunities to explore new lands and will make the customizing and randomizing feats more user-friendly.
In addition, Studio Wildcard also revealed that there's still a lot in store for "ARK: Survival Evolved" gamers and followers this October and for the coming months. One of which is the other PC v249.0 patch, which will be released on Oct. 27 and will bring the game's Halloween-themed event called "Fear Evolved 2."
"Fear Evolved 2" will be running from Oct. 27 through Nov. 6. Based on its description, "ARK: Survival Evolved" Holiday-themed event sequel will challenge players as they hunt for the legendary DodoWyvern across the "Scorched Earth" expansion. On The Island, on the other hand, survivors will encounter taming Snakes and those rare Vampire Bats and Rapid Dire Wolves, which could give Vampirism or Lycanthropy.
What's really more interesting in "Fear Evolved 2" is the fact that the most dangerous creature in the "ARK: Survival Evolved" realm would be the players themselves. Meanwhile, the upcoming PC v248.0 patch will also bring new dinos including Kaprosuchus, Diplocalus, Chalicotherium and Megalosaurus.
