Is the new MacBook Pro 2016 worth every single cent it retails for? Apple recently launched its upgraded laptop, and reviews from several tech experts have started to pour in.
One of the main highlights of the new MacBook Pro 2016 is its Touch Bar. While many are excited to see what the new feature has to offer, others are claiming that paying a premium for the new Touch Bar is not worth it. In a MacBook Pro 2016 review from CNet, it has been noted that the new feature saves clicks, but can only be used on a few apps.
The outlet continued to weigh the pros and cons of the new MacBook Pro 2016. One of the most notable upgraded features of the laptop is its thinner frame and flatter keyboard. The Touch ID was also a welcome change to the Mac. Some of the cons that were pointed out in the article is the USB-C-only ports that will require users to have a lot of dongles and adapters in order to connect devices to the Mac, as well as the new laptop's lack of high-end graphics and huge RAM options for the 13-inch model.
The new MacBook Pro 2016 is priced at $1499 for the entry level model (without Touch Bar). Consumers who want to experience what the Touch Bar has to offer will have to shell out an additional $300 on top of the $1499 base model. The $1799 version also has some notable features like a 2.9GHz Intel Core processor, integrated Intel graphics and four USB-C ports.
Meanwhile, a previous Apple Insider report noted that the new MacBook Pro 2016 laptops will be officially rolled out today, November 15, 2016. Another batch of shipments is slated for December 5-15, 2016.
