Star Wars fan out there should be excited for what the franchise has to offer right now. Lucasfilm and Netmarble just announced that they are collaborating to work on a real-time PVP game, "Star Wars: Force Arena" to be played on mobile devices.
According to Toucharcade, players can choose between the Rebellion side and the Empire side, choose their squad of units and battle other player in real-time. In "Star Wars: Force Arena," players can build their own ideal squad by recruiting characters with all kinds of skills, abilities and character cards, where they could obtain after battles and use it to upgrade and improve the squad.
One of the game features lets players get a boost if they could successfully get Han Solo and Chewbacca to battle. It's up to a player's strategy how to do it. There are 65 characters all including vehicles and units on the launch. This also includes Luke, Princess Leia and Darth Vader.
In "Star Wars: Force Arena," players can collect and upgrade their favorite characters to create an ideal Rebel of Imperial squad and at the same time leveraging powerful character duos that can boost one's efficiency and effectiveness in battle.
In here, players may compete in any event to earn rewards, special characters and bonus items. The game will have a single player mode, a training mode and 1V1 and 2v2 multiplayer. The game will be in MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) in the strict definition of term but it cannot be compared to Vainglory or other mainstream mobile MOBA games.
For those interested, Netmarble launched a pre-registration to the game's official website. After registering, you will receive a crystal which can be used in the game as currency to buy items, skills or upgrade characters. Share your thoughts on this upcoming game "Star Wars: Force Arena."
