Meizu PRO 6 Plus Now Live In China; Impressive Specs Include 2.6GHz Exynos Chip, Hi-Fi Setup, Flyme 6 UI

Chinese brand Meizu is more of the quiet type when it comes to market popularity, but as the saying goes, "silent water runs deep". Today, the company formally announced the Meizu PRO 6 Plus as their latest entry into the growing communications race.

Ironically, Meizu's newest Smartphone will go head to head with fellow Eastern torchbearers Xiaomi, Lenovo and Huawei as they continue to offer alternative options to consumers. The PRO 6 Plus could be a cut above the rest since Meizu made it a point to craft the device to be "stronger than ever". It is powerfully built, beautifully designed and comes with a price tag that won't hurt pockets.

Out of the box, the PRO 6 Plus will greet its users with a gorgeous 5.7inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display screen. Meizu also tweaked the device's "brightness, color reproduction and contrast", plus giving it a new Always-On Display (AOD) feature for users to "check the time, date and battery status easily."

On the inside, the Meizu PRO 6 Plus will flaunt a 2.6GHz Exynos M1- core plus an "efficient" Samsung SCI architecture, a 12-core Mali graphics card, 4GB of RAM and an option to go 64GB or 128GB of "super-fast UFS 2.0 storage". There's also a Sony-made IMX386 12megapixel camera sensor and a 5megapixel front facing snapper. Meizu also gave the flagship a USB-C port and the "latest generation" ES9018K2M DAC Hi-Fi setup. Together with its XFCB technique, the PRO 6 Plus will deliver audio quality "exceptionally while being energy efficient".

The PRO 6 Plus will also flaunt Meizu's Android flavor, the Flyme 6. According to 9to5 Google, Meizu didn't mention what Android version the Flyme is based, but it did said that it comes with a "unique, content-driven design". This includes the One Mind, a self-developed AI system that configures the PRO 6 Plus's performance based on the preference, or through the apps that they usually use.

Unfortunately, the Meizu PRO 6 Plus has yet to reach Uncle Sam's shore. It is, however, available in China and other parts of the world. Prices start at 2,999 CNY, or around $435 for the base model.
