While awaiting the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" in 2017, fans can now play the upcoming game's predecessor on the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC via PlayStation Now. In the meantime, "RDR 2" for the PS4 is already available for pre-orders on Amazon.
Players who will pre-order "Red Dead Redemption 2" will get a discount with Amazon's Pre-Order Price Guarantee which ensures that players who pre-order the game will get it for the price listed regardless if the price increases later on. Buyers will also be given the lower price if the game's price drops. The game is currently listed on Amazon at $54, ten percent off their ordinary price.
It has also been confirmed by PlayStation Blog that "Red Dead Redemption" and its spin-off "Undead Nightmare" will be coming to the PS4 and Windows PC through "the magical streaming powers" of PlayStation Now on Tuesday, Dec. 6. The post also stated that there are 329 other PS3 games available on PlayStation Now.
Subsequently, a group of PC gamers made a petition directed at the developers of "Red Dead Redemption 2" to produce a PC version of the game. The petition asks Rockstar to think about making the game available for PC and not deny PC gamers the chance to play "an amazing game." As of writing, the petition has accumulated more than 47,000 supporters.
In the past, Rockstar has released games such as "Grand Theft Auto" and "Max Payne" for Windows PC, but the first "Red Dead Redemption" was never available for the PC until now. This may be because "Red Dead Redemption" has a different set of developers from that of the "Grand Theft Auto" series, as per Gaming Respawn.
In the case of Ubisoft, "The Division" was initially announced only for the PS4 and Xbox One. However, after an online petition gained several thousands of supporters, Ubisoft eventually released "The Division" for Windows PC. Do you think it will be a similar scenario for Rockstar and "Red Dead Redemption 2"?
