The much-anticipated third installment of Microsoft's superpowered open-world game is aiming for a holiday 2017 release on Xbox One and PC. Microsoft also confirmed that "Crackdown 3" will feature 4K support for Project Scorpio console.
GameSpot reported that Microsoft Studios art director Dave Johnson has confirmed during a recent Extra Life livestream that "Crackdown 3" will be launched before or during holiday 2017. Further, Johnson added that "Crackdown 3" will support 4K resolution on the Project Scorpio console.
Project Scorpio is slated for a holiday 2017 release. Neurogadget reported earlier that Project Scorpio will be more powerful than the PlayStation 4 Pro while supporting 4K.
Meanwhile, PCGamer noted that Microsoft Studios art director Johnson did not mention any features or settings for "Crackdown 3" for a PC version. However, note that "Crackdown 3" is a "Play Anywhere digital game."
This means that players will be able to buy "Crackdown 3" digitally on Xbox One or PC and will even get a free copy of the game on the other platforms. This is much like the recently released online game such as "Gears of War 4," "Recore," and "Forza Horizon 3" that already support this feature.
Fans are now more than excited as graphics will have immensely been improved as "Crackdown 3" is sounding a bit ambitious since Microsoft previously confirmed that Project Scorpio would run at native 4K, per GameRant. But this is still something to look forward to in the coming year.
