‘Pokemon GO’ Updates: Christmas Event Date Released; Rare Pokemon Snorlax and XP-Bonus Available?

Despite the dwindling number of "Pokemon GO" players, Niantic, the giant behind the hit game, will still launch another huge wave event to coincide with the holiday season. "Pokemon GO" will have its Christmas event later this month, just in time for the holidays when children and teens are off from school. Rare Pokemon like Mewtwo, Snorlax, and even Articuno have been reported to be easier to catch during this event.

According to SlashGear, Niantic will do hold the Christmas event later this month for the "Pokemon GO," much like what they did with November's Halloween update, including Thanksgiving. But rumor has it that the spawn rate for rare Pokemon will highly increase during the Christmas event. These might include but are not limited to Snorlax, the sleepy Pokemon, and Staryu, Starme, Clefairy, and a 100 more.

Express reported that Niantic intends to reduce the amount of steps "Pokemon GO" players have to travel in order to hatch eggs and gain Buddy bonuses. Further, the report also noted speculations regarding the First Legendary Pokemon, which might be released into the wild. This will certainly be a very early Christmas Gift for "Pokemon GO" players.

In other news, Starbucks and Pokemon have teamed up for a promotional event, per report. This team up is expected to introduce Generation 2 Pokemons. "Pokemon GO" players can catch Pokemons while having coffee at Starbucks. This is scheduled for an early 2017 released, as originally planned.

So, "Pokemon GO" players will have to stay tuned until Niantic further unveils more information regarding the Christmas event which is slated to begin in a few weeks time.
