A new trailer from Spiral House and Maximum Games has just emerged this week called "Troll and I." From the looks of the trailer, the game seems to have a similarity with "The Last Guardian's" buddy system.
Spiral house is an independent game development studio based in England. The studio has been developing games since 1998. The studio has assisted in big titles like the very first "Little Big Planet" for the PS3, Maximum Games, on the other hand, has been publishing games since 2009 when it was founded. The collaboration of the two companies collaborated to develop the "Troll and I" game which won EyeWave Game's Best of E3 2016's Best Original Game Award.
"Troll and I" is described as a heroic adventure focused on a boy named Otto and his mythical Troll friend set in a small Scandinavian village. The unlikely friendship started when Otto was being pursued what was described as "Evil Forces" currently invading their land, Otto was able to find refuge in a hidden lair within the Nordic mountains where he met his Troll friend. Together the player must assist these two characters in their desperate search for freedom.
"Troll and I" will give players the ability to switch seamlessly between Otto and the Troll, strategy is also the main factor in the "Troll and I's" gameplay. "features a combat system that allows contrasting abilities for each character: Troll and his highly damaging attacks can crush enemies in one blow while Otto incorporates more quick and nimble moves. Troll and Otto can also cohesively act as one to fight off rivals, solve puzzles and complete missions. Each employs their own distinct presence and gameplay functionality," according to Maximum Games.
"Troll and I" is scheduled for release on March 21, 2017, in North America and March 24, 2017, in Europe for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Windows 10.
