'The Flash,' 'Supergirl' Musical Crossover: Neil Patrick Harris Talks Villain Role - Is He Joining?

Is Neil Patrick Harris going to be in the musical crossover of "The Flash" and "Supergirl"? The two-part episode is expected to air during the midseason on The CW and there have been talks that the actor would make a great villain for the special.

Fans want Neil Patrick Harris to reprise his role as the Music Meister in "The Flash" and "Supergirl" musical crossover. The actor confirms that he's aware there has been fan chatter about his potential inclusion.

Speaking with IGN in a video interview, the actor said that as far as he knows, what he's heard is all that came from this fan discussions. "That's as much as it has been," he told the news outlet.

He also said that voicing the Music Meister in the animated series "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" several years ago was fun to do. "He wears a big zoot suit, from what I remember, the song was fun to sing, so I don't know, we'll see," he added.

He also heard that Joss Whedon could be involved in "The Flash" and "Supergirl" musical crossover, but he believes it's still an unfounded rumor. The actor and Whedon worked on "Dr. Horrible," a musical-comedy special that aired on The CW as well in 2012.

As these speculations arise, producers of "The Flash" and "Supergirl" have not yet actually announced what the musical will be about or when it will air on The CW. The idea was hatched last summer, but "Supergirl" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Collider that the plan didn't seem crazy at all. "The musical will just be awesome. It's gonna be fun," he said.

In September show creator Greg Berlanti hinted that they are coming up with original music for the special, according to Indie Wire. But since then, not much has been learned about the production of "The Flash" and "Supergirl" musical crossovers. Stay tuned for the updates!
