Weight Watchers’ new ad shows Oprah Winfrey losing at least 40 lbs. even with bread and pasta in her diet. The host of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” added that she “never felt deprived” during her diet.
Though she’s a shareholder of the weight loss company, the program’s still considered effective and life is changing by its members, including Oprah.
The talk show host and philanthropist tags the program as a lifestyle that makes allows freedom to those who follow it. Oprah Winfrey adds that it’s a leap of faith as she started the program in 2015.
The host had a slow drop in her weight starting January 2016. By that time she already lost 26 lbs. With healthy eating. Added in her program is an exercise routine that even works with just 10,000 steps, People reports.
Oprah Winfrey owns 6.4 million shares of Weight Watchers. She’s the third largest shareholder in the company and one of the boards of directors of Weight Watchers.

However, the other investors weren’t feeling the same success with the host. Weight Watchers declared a loss in its sales during their quarterly reports. The only time the stock experienced an increase was when Oprah released another story regarding her weight loss.
As of the moment, “Weight Watchers” is experiencing tough competition in the market. One of its main competitors is Nutrisystem which had experienced a 70% increase in its stocks within this year, CNN reports.
