'Black Panther' Casts Sterling K. Brown For N'Jobu's Character, A Figure From The Superhero's Past

"Black Panther" cast Sterling K. Brown for the character of N'Jobu. The character is said to be a figure from the past of Black Panther.

Comic Book reported that N'Jobu will be seen when T'Challa comes on, or the past of Black Panther. In a statement on Twitter, Brown said that he is thrilled to be joining the immensely talented group of actors and storytellers in the movie. He will be acting alongside Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, and Forest Whitaker as Zuri. "Black Panther" will be directed by Ryan Coogler and the production is set to start this January.

Slash Film also reported that Brown stars in the hit NBC drama "This Is US" and played the role of Christopher Darden in "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson." He received an Emmy Award for his Christopher Darden portrayal and won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie. He is also nominated for a Golden Globe this year for the same role.

N'Jobu is said to be a brand new character made just for the movie and might possibly be connected to Erik Killmonger. Killmonger is the villain in the movie. This theory by fans has not been confirmed yet.

"Black Panther" will be centering on the events after "Captain America: Civil War." T'Challa will be back in Wakanda following the death of his father. The leadership of Black Panther is said to be threatened by two of his enemies who will come together so he will get the help of the CIA to defeat the enemies. This reported plot of "Black Panther" has also not been confirmed yet.

"Black Panther" will be hitting theaters this February 16, 2018. Will you be watching the movie by then? What do you think about Sterling K. Brown being part of the movie? Let us know in the comments below!
