"Breaking Bad" star Dean Norris has landed a role in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10. Meanwhile, CBS president talks about the future of the show beyond Season 10. Will there be "The Big Bang Theory" Season 11?
Dean Norris has been booked for a multi-episode arc in "The Big Bang Theory," Entertainment Weekly reported. His role will be related to Howard, catching up to the happenings at the end of Season 9. The report said fans could expect to see the 53-year-old actor play as Captain Williams during the first few episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10. Captain Williams is from the Department of Materiel Command of the Air Force, which at the end of the previous season was suspected to be spying on the gyroscope project and its possible military speculations. Executive Steve Molaro told the EW though that the storyline is not yet finished, but they are giving it a go to see what the Air Force wants.
In addition to the "Breaking Bad," Dean Norris' credits include "Under the Dome" (2013-2015), "Little Ms. Sunshine" (2006), and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." He also appeared in other primetime series including "Castle" and "Sons of Liberty."
Meanwhile, since no deal has been signed with any cast of "The Big Bang Theory" beyond Season 10, the fate the show remains hanging. But hope is not lost, with the CBS president of entertainment Glenn Geller telling the 2016 TCA Press Tour that he wants the show to go beyond year 10, even forever, E! Online reported. He said, "We are very confident that everyone involved wants more Big Bang past year 10 and I know Warner Bros. will make those deals."
While Geller could not provide any details on the chances of "The Big Bang Theory" renewal, he also said, "We'll put it on for as long as everyone wants Big Bang on the air." Starring Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 is scheduled to return on Monday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
