The future of "Alaskan Bush People" had been hanging in the past couple of months, with no confirmation from the Discovery Channel on whether it is renewed or canceled. But Matt Brown has revealed that the reality show's new season is now a go.
Fans could now rejoice as the "Alaskan Bush People" seems to be gearing up for Season 4. Matt Brown quashed the rumors of cancellation with his post on Facebook. He wrote, "Looks like Discovery channel is getting us ready for the new season. The return date hasn't been announced yet but we have been hearing early November." Nothing is official yet, though, but that is the closest to the confirmation of the show's comeback so far.
The show had been criticized for its authenticity as a reality TV series. And so words have it that it is rebranding into a "docu-drama" series because it is partially scripted. But does that matter to fans? Maybe not. There are still many fans happily watching the reruns on Discovery Channel and eagerly waiting for the next season of "Alaskan Bush People."
When "Alaskan Bush People" returns for its sixth season, rumors have been swirling that the focus would be on Matt Brown. The third season touched on the Brown family's eldest son getting into a rehab to deal with his alcohol problems. So the next season would likely pick up on that storyline and feature how Matt has been able to fix himself up and how he is returning to the wild with his family.
Meanwhile, speculations also include the romance story of Bam Bam and Alison Kagan, a producer of the "Alaskan Bush People." The two were reportedly seen hanging out in Los Angeles. Could fans be seeing a marriage taking place in the bush?
"Alaskan Bush People" reruns are on Tuesdays and Fridays.
