"God Of War" 4 from Sony Santa Monica and creative director Cory Barlog is much an awaited title for PS4, but is development slowing down so that Kratos' sequel may be delayed? Despite Santa Monica foregoing demo availability for the new "God Of War" at PlayStation Experience (PSX) 2016, concerns have arisen that "GOW 4" may be delayed.
Sony Santa Monica had been continuously passing out invitations for new members to join the team behind "God Of War 4." Fans asked Cory Barlog on Twitter if all the new people being hired for "God Of War" 4 would slow down work on Kratos' game.
Would the learning curve of new hirees impact the target "God Of War" 4 release date by Sony? Cory Barlog, however, assured on Twitter that having new people come into the "God Of War" team would eventually speed up development.
Certainly, Santa Monica still has a ways to go before "GOW 4" is ready to hit the shelves. This is hardly surprising given the range of changes Cory Barlog and the team at Santa Monica are targeting to bring into "God Of War" 4.
Besides a strengthening of "GOW" storyline for protagonist Kratos, significant gameplay changes are also being brought in. "God Of War" 4 will go into a time jump returning a much older Kratos with a young son in a Norse mythology setting.
Kratos is no longer the psychopath of a murderer of older "God Of War" iterations rampaging on the wing of a grudge. Instead, Kratos will be all about survival and protecting the life he is building with his new family in their new Norse location.
Fans anticipate for Sony Santa Monica to drop "God Of War" 4 by 2018 at the earliest, with no delay in the horizon as Cory Barlog explained. Share your thoughts with us on "God Of War" 4 in the comment box below.
