"Black Mirror" Season 4 from Netflix and series creator Charlie Brooker would have brought back their S3 "San Junipero" director Owen Harris, if not for conflicting schedules. However, Jodie Foster, who has signed up to direct an episode of the Netflix anthology series, will certainly be joined by "Mad Men" actor Rosemarie Dewitt in the new season. This will be the second run of the Charlie Brooker creation as part of the Netflix line up.
The Wrap cites reports that Rosemarie Dewitt is in the "Black Mirror" Season 4 lineup. The media outlet points out Rosemarie Dewitt should be comfortable easing into her role in the Netflix series as the "Mad Men" actress starred in the "Poltergeist" remake in 2015. Details have yet to be released about her episode from Charlie Brooker.
Similarly, The Wrap proposes that directorial duties in "Black Mirror" Season 4 should be familiar ground for Jodie Foster. As the media outlet highlights, the iconic star is no stranger to social critic and horror. Jodie Foster starred in "Contact" for the former and in "Silence Of The Lambs" for the latter.
Fans waiting to see what "San Junipero" director Owen Harris will take on "Black Mirror" Season 4 will have to endure disappointment. The Wrap reports that Owen Harris is interested to return. However, prior commitments will conflict with Season 4 production work for the "San Junipero" production.
This would be disastrous if a "San Junipero" sequel actually happens in Season 4. As seen on VICE, "San Junipero" continues to be one of the most talked-about episodes of the "Black Mirror" series. Given the plans the Charlie Brooker and co-executive producer Annabel Jones have for the Netflix offering, a "San Junipero" sequel may be able to wait for Owen Harris' schedule to clear up.
Netflix released "Black Mirror" Season 3 on Oct 21, with Season 4 anticipated for fall 2017. Do you have a theme you wish to see in the Netflix series? What was your pick in Season 3?
