'Despicable Me 3' Release Date, Cast, News & Update: Gru’s New Enemy Comes From ‘South Park?’

"Despicable Me 3" star Gru (Steve Carell) will have a new enemy in the form of the 1980s star Balthazar Bratt. This new villain will be voiced by Trey Parker, whom fans will recognize as Stan Marsh from "South Park." Balthazar Bratt will challenge Gru's position of power both with his evil shenanigans and his dance skills.

The Daily Mail reports the "Despicable Me 3" villain will be a mullet-wearing, mustachio-ed '80s aficionado. Batlhazar Bratt will not only wear villainous outfits replete with massive shoulder pads. The "Despicable Me 3" baddie will also reveal a unique ability to do Michael Jackson's iconic dance move, The Moonwalk, across oceans.

According to the media outlet, Gru's new enemy will use recognizable '80s artifacts as his main weapons. However, Balthazar Bratt may prove to be as much of an anti-hero rather than an out and out villain as The Daily Mail points out. Which may mean that Gru may make a new friend in "Despicable Me 3." Or not.

/FILM reports that Balthazar Bratt also owns a Keytar. This sounds like "Despicable Me 3" will also pay homage to Prince as much as it will to fellow '80s icon Michael Jackson. The media outlet reports that the former '80s child star is possibly the most dangerous enemy that Gru has had in the franchise.

"Despicable Me 3" will bring back the whole gang, including Gru's slew of Minions. Lucy (Kristen Wiig), Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier) and Agnes (Nev Scharrel) will be right beside Gru and the Minions when they face Balthazar Bratt. Directors Pierre Coffin, Kyle Balda and Eric Guillon will be at the helm.

"Despicable Me 3" will be in theaters on June 30, 2017. Are you ready for more Minions in action? Who is your favorite villain by far in the "Despicable Me" franchise?
