The latest sequel in the gigantic "The Fast and the Furious" franchise makers revealed Charlize Theron's first look on social media. The 40-year-old "The Huntsman" star is set to appear in Fast 8 as the new villainess Cipher.
"The Fast and the furious" pulled up a very interesting cast coup by putting Charlize Theron as the next villain. The photo shows the star standing in front a threatening rack of guns while possibly looking at someone in the opposite direction. Her photo appeared in E!
The actress appears sporting some hair extensions pulled up in high a ponytail. She wears a fitting Metallica shirt under a black jacket, making her debut in the hit action movie.
Theron also told E! News that unlike the veteran casts her part does not do much driving in the film. She felt that the Fast 8 crew got the driving down and a really good thing going. "I don't know if I need to step in that department. I might have to step in in a different department," she said
Fast 8 director F. Gary Gray directed Theron in the 2003 heist movie The Italian Job and said she proved to be one of the most proficient drivers of the MINI offscreen and on. "We really didn't have to teach Charlize how to drive," he said back then with CBS News. "We were just trying to hold her back."
Theron was also Mad Max: Fury Road's main character, Imperator Furiosa and entrusted driver of the heavily armed tractor trailer "war rig"capable of towing a tri-axle tanker trailer. Fans would really love to see her do a lot of driving, so let's cross our fingers.
Though Fast 8 plot details are still scarce, the crew is spotted shooting in New York and Cuba. The movie is set to cruise in theaters by April 2017.
